We use personal pages (similar to my space), star ratings (on documents, insights or expertise) and comments to leverage an organization's expertise, insight and collective genius to drive better customer conversations. Ultimately, we enable sales to be more productive. Some principles can be extracted but until you start doing it, what specifically will work for your company cannot be defined.

Thanks for reporting back on some examples to look to for how social media is being used out in the wider world.John Johansenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06265907629064329594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2794738153281647060.post-74270698375935548612008-03-14T21:10:00.000-04:002008-03-14T21:10:00.000-04:00Excellent recap and thanks for attending Scott, it...Excellent recap and thanks for attending Scott, it was great to finally meet you!Mack Collierhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02723628321171539590noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2794738153281647060.post-53279890762204553812008-03-13T00:25:00.000-04:002008-03-13T00:25:00.000-04:00Thanks for linking to Hugh's porous membrane post....Thanks for linking to Hugh's porous membrane post. Good coverage of sxsw panels.

I was very impressed by the guys at DELL (Richard, Lionel, and John) who really get it (and they have learned a lot through practice). They have accomplished a lot for DELL's image through social media.

It was great to meet you as well at sxsw.Marcel LeBrunhttp://www.mediaphilosopher.comnoreply@blogger.com
